I've been looking at these for almost a year; was ready to buy them and they were out of my size! Finally back in, I ordered, and they just showed up on my doorstep! WOW. These are beautifully made, VERY soft leather, and the gold lining peeking out is really sexy looking! I'm between sizes, so went larger, and they are perfect - I'd say they run just a fraction of a size small. They fit like my feet were poured into them. I would recommend these NOT be worn a lot; soles are fairly thin and probably won't stand up to too much sidewalk, and the upper leather is almost like glove leather - fabulous feel, but will probably wear quickly if used for driving, shopping, etc. Definitely NOT a snow/rain bootie! More of a curl-up-with-a-book-and-wine-by-the-fire bootie. But gosh, that doesn't sound bad right now....

Boought for barefoot running which I haven't done yet but I did wear them to work. Comfortable and fit well. Normally take a size 10 shoe. If ground is gravelly you can feel it but if you walk on smooth ground or grass it is good.

Rating
I've only had these for a month, but I love them. I have had chronic knee pain for years, and a doctor of physical therapy told me there was nothing more she could do, and I would be in pain the rest of my life. After four weeks, while I still have pain, it is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced, and I've actually ran almost a half mile on the treadmill in these. That doesn't sound like much, but I hadn't run a step in years due to the knee pain.

I work out in them, walk in them, and wear them every opportunity I can (they aren't right for dressing up). Yes, they take some getting used to, and no, you can't just "throw them on." And you really need to be measured by someone who knows what they are doing to make sure you get a good fit. But they are worth the price of admission. They are comfortable, tough, and easy to maintain. And for me, they have been a Godsend.

No BS, just a good shoe.

Be advised these shoes are not manager friendly. Believe me, I've tried. My manager had a fit when I tried to ware them to work. If only I could, they would be the only shoes I would ever need/own. I have yet to find an equal. I've had mine since April, and they wash very well, granted mine need to be washed again, but the best way I can sum this up is to tell you to get them. Although, the only draw back I'd say is that they are not cold weather friendly, I'm looking into the vibram flow model for the comming winter.

Rating
I purchased a pair of Bikilas on sept 1st. I wore them two times inside just walking around for about 20 minutes to make sure they were the right size. They run a little small and I purchased the same size as my KSO blue camo pair.
I did my first run in them on Sept 14th. I ran on a track and noticed I kept getting small pebbles, rubber pieces, etc in the back of the shoe. after about 10 laps I finished my run (about 3 miles) I noticed on the right foot the sole on the sides started seperating alot from the top. I took them back that day and decided to go with another pair that had a strap that came around the back to keep stuff out(no pun intended) I got the KSO Trek.
I rated this a two because although I initially really liked the shoe aesthically and fit, it came apart the first time I used them.
PROS
- look sweet
- feel light and fast when running
- had reflective material around the shoe (ooohhhhhh shiny)
- easy to strap on

CONS
- Started coming apart first time I ran
- Run a size smaller than other five fingers
- the feels like they are going to come off when running because of no back strap
- seemed alot harder to get on than the KSO or KSO TREK (these are the only kind I have worn/tried on)

Maybe these were just a bad pair...
I would suggest if your going to get these to just run on streets/treadmills etc where there are no small objects to get in the back of the shoe. heaven forbid you have to run through barkdust...

an update:
I tried on another pair and they had the same defect in the same spot.
The spot of the defect is in front of the strap on the sides where the sole meets.

I purchased two sleeping bags and one came with a case that has a broken zipper. I called Coleman's customer service number and, in my opinion the customer service representative Ken-
-failed to listen to what the problem with the item was.
-failed to care that the customer had a received a product that I was satisfied with.
-immediately shifted the blame to amazon.com.
-could care less that I was going to write an unfavorable review of the product on the company's website and amazon.com.
-failed to honor or attempt to honor the limited 5 year warranty.

Additionally, I would like to point out, that in my opinion, this isn't a even a faulty product I received. In my opinion it is a design flaw and a design flaw Coleman doesn't even care to address.

I am especially disappointed because I have been using Coleman sleeping bags for over 30 years. I never expected such poor service and really expected a better outcome. It's really too bad that customer service really took no accountability to help me resolve this matter.

Possibly the worst product that I bought through Amazon. The inner material gets ripped by dry skins around finger nails. One can imagine what other debris might do to it outdoor. I had to return it the day I got it. I recommend that you stay away from this product.

Rating
For all my pedestrian life, shoe manufacturers have been working on the assumption that the human foot is a faulty design. Shoe-engineering has always clamored for More Support, More Support, making the "platform" stiffer and the heel wider, and always vacillating between heavier construction but lighter materials. Podiatrists have made comfortable fortunes by prescribing uncomfortable arch supports, and more and more people have found themselves lifetime committed to wearing orthotics.

Vibram Five Toe shoes are based on the assumption that "evolution got it right", that the human foot does its job quite well if it is allowed to flex and grip as it is 'built' to do. The toes are fitted independently, like fingers in gloves, and the sole is merely a tough membrane like the calluses that form naturally on the feet of barefoot peasants around the world. The construction is as light as a hiking sock or a moccasin. The shoes are intended, I suppose, to be worn without socks, but I prefer to wear the lightest Injinji five-toe socks in them. It was the Injinji socks that I wore inside my stiff heavy old hiking boots, on a 20-mile hike, that persuaded me to try these Vibrams. No hot spots, no toenail problems, and my "dogs" weren't barking at the end of the day.

Personally, I confess that I've been more concerned all my life with the durability of my running and hiking shoes than with the durability of my feet. In my sixties, that 'concern' has proven to be misplaced. My sturdiest Vasques boots are still in good shape but my feet have been showing signs of wear and tear. So, I thought, why not try the Vibram shoes, since the Injinji socks seem worthwhile? Besides, if they don't work for walking and running, surely they'll make excellent kayak/beach shoes.

Putting the five-toe shoes on for the first time isn't an encouraging experience. They don't 'fit' until they've been worn to the shape of YOUR feet. They're tricky to get over your toes properly for the first six or eight times, and it's hard to believe the your heels will enjoy the pounding on cement sidewalks or rocky trails. I've been wearing my first pair for all outdoor activities now for about two weeks, and I love them! Light, cool, free-feeling, and I don't seem to be having any problem with jarring on hard pavements. They look somewhat funky with a tuxedo, I have to acknowledge, and on the street people will gawk at your pedal extremities rather than your ample forehead or bosom. Hey, that's not such a bad thing in itself!

I can't yet declare that my overall 'foot health' will permanently improve from wearing Vibrams. Also, I doubt that they will survive as long as a pair of indestructible Vasques; the soles are thin by design and will wear through. But the price isn't so high, even if you replace them twice a year, in comparison to the potential benefits of accepting the wisdom of Evolution and letting your feet do the job they did for your genetic ancestors over the past four million years or so.

For all my pedestrian life, shoe manufacturers have been working on the assumption that the human foot is a faulty design. Shoe-engineering has always clamored for More Support, More Support, making the “platform” stiffer and the heel wider, and always vacillating between heavier construction but lighter materials. Podiatrists have made comfortable fortunes by prescribing uncomfortable arch supports, and more and more people have found themselves lifetime committed to wearing orthotics.

Vibram Five Toe shoes are based on the assumption that “evolution got it right”, that the human foot does its job quite well if it is allowed to flex and grip as it is ‘built’ to do. No hot spots, no toenail problems, and my “dogs” weren’t barking at the end of the day.

Personally, I confess that I’ve been more concerned all my life with the durability of my running and hiking shoes than with the durability of my feet. In my sixties, that ‘concern’ has proven to be misplaced. My sturdiest Vasques boots are still in good shape but my feet have been showing signs of wear and tear. So, I thought, why not try the Vibram shoes, since the Injinji socks seem worthwhile? Besides, if they don’t work for walking and running, surely they’ll make excellent kayak/beach shoes.

Putting the five-toe shoes on for the first time isn’t an encouraging experience. They don’t ‘fit’ until they’ve been worn to the shape of YOUR feet. They’re tricky to get over your toes properly for the first six or eight times, and it’s hard to believe the your heels will enjoy the pounding on cement sidewalks or rocky trails. I’ve been wearing my first pair for all outdoor activities now for about two weeks, and I love them! Light, cool, free-feeling, and I don’t seem to be having any problem with jarring on hard pavements. They look somewhat funky with a tuxedo, I have to acknowledge, and on the street people will gawk at your pedal extremities rather than your ample forehead or bosom. Hey, that’s not such a bad thing in itself!

I can’t yet declare that my overall ‘foot health’ will permanently improve from wearing Vibrams. Also, I doubt that they will survive as long as a pair of indestructible Vasques; the soles are thin by design and will wear through. But the price isn’t so high, even if you replace them twice a year, in comparison to the potential benefits of accepting the wisdom of Evolution and letting your feet do the job they did for your genetic ancestors over the past four million years or so.

Rating
It is perfect for the amount of space I have, and I didn't need anything too high-tech. It squeaks a bit while using it, but I can live with that. The directions were a little hard to read, the parts are not labeled quite as well as I would have liked. Allow 1-2 hours to assemble.
