This was a great purchase! I enjoy doing my workouts on a treadmill, but can’t afford to buy a treadmill that costs several hundred dollars. The price was perfect, assembly was easy, and it is a great workout. You do have to work a little harder to get and keep the belt moving because it is a manual, but that makes the workout even better. It takes some practice to get used to the manual belt and to figure out how to keep your steps evenly paced, but after about 5 minutes you are into the groove. The size is nice, too. The treadmill folds up and stores nicely. The belt is the perfect size for my 5’6” stride. My husband is 6’3” but as long as he keeps the start of his stride at the very front of the belt, he can get a great workout, too. Obviously, I am very pleased with this purchase!

Fast Delivery. Easy set up. Works really well. I thought it’d be a lot quieter then it is, but it’s definitely quieter then any of the motored ones.

I’ve had this treadmill for about 3-4 months now, and wow. It’s great, easy to store and move and works well. I use it while watching TV in my bedroom. I’ve already lost 20lbs! If you don’t feel like going to the gym that day, use this manual treadmill instead! It’s a great price and a great product. I’m 24 and female and put the treadmill together on my own in about 30 minutes. Very nice product! Highly recommended!

Had a little trouble getting the darn thing, was sent the first time without the hardware, but as usual Amazon handled the whole problem with no problems had the bad one picked up the new one delivered. It calls for two people to put it together but I did it by myself….and I’m a 60+ female. Works very well. I’m very pleased with it, for the money you can’t beat it.

I think this is the first time I have written a product review. I am very pleased with my purchase. I have been wanting to purchase a treadmill for a long time, but $1k just seemed to be too much for a student budget, plus, the hours that I have to exersize are usually early in the morning or later at night. Considering the dangers of working out alone in the dark outside, I have been puzzled as to what to do. I didn’t want to buy a gym membership and get locked into paying something for 2 years (when moving is coming up in my future)and it would be difficult to motivate myself to drive there, etc. So when I found out about the manual treadmill, I jumped at the chance to own it at a decent price. I ordred the Stamina InMotion II and have used it a number of times. I set it up alone and have enjoyed the rigors of using it. It has built my endurance and helped me begin to lose weight I have carried for years. I highly recommend it to anyone who desires to get into shape or keep in shape. There is only one thing that is even close to being a bad thing about this treadmill, and that is on one of the handles, the holes for a screw didn’t align to where it could be screwed in place. It doesn’t bother me, though, since it is in a place that little to no pressure is being placed…it is probably just a factory defect on my piece alone, so I don’t think it should be a reason not to purchase this treadmill.

I just got this treadmill and I love it. I researched motorized treadmills quite a bit. I wanted a really quality treadmill. I have had a cheaper treadmill before and I realize that for a really good motorized model you need to spend over $1,000 for one that will last. I decided to wait a while to buy once since I didn’t have that much money just lying around. Then I happened to find out about manual treadmills, so I did some research on them. I remembered using one years ago in the gym of an apartment complex I lived in. I found out that manual treadmills actually give you a much better workout than a motorized one because you are powering it yourself and you are walking or running on a slight incline. Manual treadmills are much better for toning your legs, butt and hips than a motorized treadmill. I read all of the reviews of various models and finally decided on this one. I got it and put it together very quickly. I walked on it for a few minutes, like the instructions suggest, and found it needed to be slightly adjusted. After I got it adjusted so the belt wouldn’t move from side to side I did an actual workout on it. Recently I have been doing the same walking/running workout outside in my neighborhood and also on my brother’s motorized treadmill. Doing my usual workout on this treadmill worked me out harder than the other two methods. I really like the monitor that tracks the time, speed, distance and calories and it seems very accurate, other than the calories. Figuring out how many calories you are burning depends on how much you weigh and how much muscle tone you have, so I would not count on the calorie counter for being very accurate. I like the fact that when it’s folded up it takes up very little room. It does take a little getting used to compared to walking on the ground or on a motorized treadmill, but once you figure it out it is a great workout. I would highly recommend this treadmill.

I knew I was purchasing an inexpensive piece of equipment and I expected it to have some quirks, but I was surprised!! I initially bought this to walk on while watching tv so that I could waste my time wisely, but am now using it more often than I thought I would be. Thie silicon spray is a must! It helps to keep the machine working at its best. I am short 5’2″ and find that if you are walking on the treadmill you need to have at least one hand on so that you dont start running!! But if you want to run it goes at your pace and is very stable!! It is also very compact adn easy to put together!! I did it myself in my PJ’s!!

I got mine today (12/31/2008) and assembled it easily. It’s sturdy. You really can’t do much without holding on, walking fast gets the belt going so fast it turns into running. I personally like going fast and running, but I don’t think this is for all people. Nice incline for working the backend! Cheap and easy to assemble and takes up very little space. It’s not that loud, really. Motorized treadmills are really loud.

I’ve used the motorized treadmills in the health clubs for years and I think this probably works you out better because you have to use more muscles to keep your rhythm and balance. It is much sturdier than I thought it would be for the price; stays in place during workout. I have been using it daily for a couple of weeks and am very satisfied. If it wears out in a year or two I’ll just throw it out and buy another. I can go through 10 of these for the cost of 1 of the more expensive motorized ones and probably have a lot less maintenance issues.

First, when this is in box it is very, very heavy and bulky have help if possible moving it around, lucky I had a dolly.
Now, get out all nuts, bolts washers etc. etc. and match what you got with the parts list, I was fortunate it was complete. Matching the bolts with a different type would be hard. Get out your box end wrench set, borrow a friends or use a good crescent wrench, use a 3/4 inch & 11/16 inch box for the large bolts, the tool provided is a joke for assembling the item but OK later to check for tightness. Provided Allen wrenches work well. Assemble per instructions they are precise. Adjusting the belt takes some getting use to so work slowly it will finally be running in the middle, patience with this is a must!!!
I have lower back problems and walk 4.6 miles per day, nearly 61 years old and missed 32 days last year and wanted something to use when the weather does not permit walking, this fits the bill. CAUTION, you are going to be using muscles that you do not use when just walking. It’s very much like loading a U-Hall truck walking up the plank, the next day you’ll really feel the new muscels being used, don’t think this is tit for tat like walking, start a little at a time and build up your strength and muscels or you will burn yourself out quickly.
I also put 2 like bricks surrounded with foam rubber under the back end to level it out even more, when starting out grab the handles firmly and hold on b/c until you get use to the thing you can fall pretty easily. Support yourself when getting on to start walking & slowly getting off to make adjustments. The belt adjustments are tricky at first just take your time. Wear good walking shoes so as to have a good grip to the belt. I know exactly how long the 4.6 miles take so I have not even used the electronic distant device, my legs tell me, walking 4.6 miles takes me exactly 1hr 20 min so far I’m up to 20 min on the treadmill, it’s work!! Why did I buy it? The pavement doesn’t move for me and I didn’t want all the bells and whistles with an electric treadmill, just a lot more things to go wrong and a good one costs 2k+!!! Most people want devices to work for them, the pavement works against you when you walk so I wanted something that would make me work not the other way around. Oh, buy the silicone belt spray you’ll need it very soon.
If this treadmill wears out in a year I can just about buy 7 years of these for 1 top electric treadmill and get a lot better workout.
Happy walking and take your time getting use to it!!!!!
Mike
